But we don’t! We travel far too frequently to be able to stay anywhere as classy as this, as I write this in early May 2022 we have just returned from our 6th holiday of the year, Thank you, Brittany, for creating such a beautiful bed and breakfast that allowed us to experience the "yin" of Venice after a days out in the "yang" of tourist Venice. Of all our activities in Venice, I think my favorite was sitting in the cozy corner seat of the breakfast room drinking cappuccino watching the boats go by.

Dora was an AMAZING host at (a very yummy) breakfast, so welcoming, advising us on our time in Venice and making dinner reservations for us at a neighborhood restaurant. But the absolute best way to feel that welcome was at breakfast. Welcome is built into the design with a shared kitchen set up as a common area outside our room (we took advantage of for some bedtime tea and a refrigerator to put some finds from our Rialto Market tour). Cima Rosa really stands out through its deep sense of welcome and refined beauty. The bathroom in this one room is across the hall, but it was private and super warm - love heated towel racks - and not an issue. Our room overlooking the Grand Canal was perfect for us, beautiful with its wood beamed ceilings and calm contemporary decor (and the bed and sheets were beyond comfortable). My teenage daughter and I stayed at Cima Rosa for three nights, and it was pure magic from the moment we turned into the private courtyard and entered the beautifully decorated living room where couches and a pile of food and travel books pulled me right in!. But no worries, we definitely found our home in Venice and we can’t wait to go back again. The only disappointing was that we didn’t try the terrace, which has view of the rooftops and the Salute church, because when we decided to have breakfast there the weather was a bit rainy. Simple but wonderful snacks are available in the whole hotel and in the room the whole day. The breakfast menu have dozens of enticing gastronomic options, salty and sweet from the a perfect poach egg (for me) or chocolate pancake (for my wife). We did decide to have it in the room, in the comfort of our bed, while still in our bathrobe. First you can choose to have it in the hotel terrace, in your room or in one of the elegant lounges of the hotels. Nothing seems a trouble for the staff, always willing to help when it comes for a restaurant reservation (thanks Alessio for the suggestion) or daytrip in one of the island (we went to Murano and the hotel staff arranged everything).īut our favorite moment was yet to come, and the morning of the first day took our breath away. We found the service absolutely impeccable and charming. Trust me, once you arrive there you’d like to check every single corner of this place….Murano chandeliers, baroque sofas, velvet and marble details perfectly assembled throw you back in the Golden Era of Venice. We were so curious to explore the whole hotel as apparently there’s other beautiful rooms and also external rooms in a palace next to the main structure. Room was big, with sumptuous high windows, marble bathrooms and fluffy towels. We did choose the magnificient Sala Noire for our stay, which is one the five concept suites the hotel has apparently. We did accomodate in a cozy and warm lounge room, drinking our wine and tasting superb typical cookies from the Veneto region while waiting for our room.

We felt like in a movie for the whole our stay.Īs soon as we arrived our luggage was taken away and replaced by a glass of delicious Prosecco, before we’ve even checked in.

Nestled in the Art district of the city, full of art galleries and amazing restaurant, 3 minutes from the Peggy Guggenheim collection and just in front of Punta della Dogana. So when we see Ca Maria Adele we immediately decided to try it and was the best thing we ever did.Ĭa Maria Adele is a small but sumptuous boutique hotel, with an eye for luxurious design details, steps away from one of the most iconic venetian church, Salute. We use to come to Venice at least 3 times a year for several events, and we did try many of the big hotels of the city: all quite disappointing to be honest. We stayed 4 nights in Ca Maria Adele in the mid of april, and everything was just perfect, since we arrived until, unfortunately, we needed to leave this magical place. Without any doubts the best experience ever in a hotel.
